Note: To enable the Multiple Product Feeds feature please speak to your Customer Success Manager or contact our Customer Success Team.

Configuring Multiple Product Feeds

- Navigate to Settings>Product Feed

- Click on

- Give the product feed a name. Since there may be multiple feeds make sure to give it a suitable name i.e. - French.

- Choose the associated Facebook Business.

- Select the scrape interval. Your choice of scrape interval should reflect how often you update your feed - especially when it comes to attributes such as availability. StitcherAds will sync with it at this interval to ensure the data available to you is up-to-date.

- Click on the 'Enable Locale Targeting' check box to display a list of countries.

It is important to select a Locale when configuring Multiple Product Feeds where feeds are associated with different countries e.g. if a feed is specific to French speaking countries then 'French (All)' should be selected as the locale.

- Add the URL of the feed.

- Click the "Save My Feed" button.

Mapping Unmatched Fields

Once your feed has been imported, if fields are not mapped automatically they can be mapped manually.

On the right hand side you will see the items needing your attention. Simply select the correct attribute from the dropdown provided.

Once you have successfully mapped all the required fields click on the "Save My Feed" button.

Product Feed Specifications

StitcherAds currently supports a variety of feed formats including XML and comma, tab or pipe delimited files e.g. CSV, TSV, etc. Your feed should be available on a live URL and should be updated at least every 24 hours for new products and stock availability.

You can also provide your feed over ftp. Zipped files are supported but the file must match our normal feed format requirements once it is unzipped. The link should have the username and password inline. For example:

Both Facebook and StitcherAds base feed interpretation on the Google feed specification so it is advised that your feed matches this as closely as possible. StitcherAds makes it possible to manually map columns that do not match this specification, details of how to do this are mentioned later on.

The Product Feed must contain at least these 9 mandatory elements that are required for the automated creation of ads:

<g:id></g:id> The product identifier that you use on your website/ecommerce system.
<g:availability></g:availability> The current availability status of the product ('in stock' or 'out of stock')
<g:product_type></g:product_type> The category of the product e.g. shoes, mens, beds.
<g:image_link></g:image_link> The URL to an image of the product
<g:brand></g:brand> The product brand
<title></title> The name of the product
<g:price></g:price> The price of the product including the currency
<link></link> The URL to the product page on your website without any URL tracking parameters
<description></description> A description of the product

Please Note:

In the case of prices, a period should be used to denote the separation to decimals not a comma i.e. five thousand should be entered 5,000.00 not 5.000,00. It's also recommended that 'Currency' is defined in the <g:price> attribute, please see below. If this is not defined Facebook will default to '$'.

In relation to URL parameter tracking. The '<link></link> The URL to the product page on your website' should not contain and tracking parameters. Tracking parameters can be configured and dynamically added to URLs.

If you are unsure if your feed is supported you can try it out here.
